Description:
I am fortunate to live in a beautiful rural area called Pumpenbil, which is in the Tweed Valley, surrounded by the Border Ranges, Wollumbin and The Pinnacle. At the bottom of our property runs the beginning of a little creek called North Pumpenbil Creek, which eventually runs into the mighty Tweed River. We have planted over 260 rainforest trees at the riparian zone of the Creek, to add to some of the native rainforest species which are regenerating.
This painting was inspired by an early morning walk at the Creek. I was reminded of the old sepia photographs of the area, as the colours were muted through the trees.
