Lidded vessels pose a question: what do we want to carry with us, to hold onto?

They provide an empty space, a container for what we give value. Throughout history, humanity has celebrated and enriched three main areas of life by creating jars that are decorative and symbolic: daily needs, ritual and devotion, and the afterlife.

In a metaphorical sense, humans are also vessels; what we choose to hold onto and carry with us becomes the portal through which we express ourselves to the world.
