OUR ARTIST

Stable Artists

Black Fig Gallery represents a curated group of artists whose practices demonstrate both technical integrity and conceptual depth. Working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, material-based practices and more.

Spanning traditional, contemporary and abstract approaches, each artist offers a distinct perspective shaped by their relationship to process, place and lived experience. From finely detailed charcoal works, watercolour and traditional painting practices to hand-built ceramics, carved stone and contemporary adornment, the diversity of mediums is matched by a shared commitment to making work with depth, care and integrity.

With a strong focus on Northern Rivers artists, the gallery supports practices that are both locally grounded and culturally relevant.

Through ongoing representation, we aim to build meaningful, long-term relationships between artists, collectors and community - allowing each practice the space to evolve over time.

Mim O’Grady’s practice sits between two distinct yet connected bodies of work: intimate charcoal portraits of local Indigenous Elders, and expansive abstract aerial landscapes that reflect a deep connection to Country.
